Why are the bottles smaller than drugstore lotions?
Because we don’t sell water. Most lotions are 80% aqua (water) and fillers. homeApothec formulas are 100% Waterless & Active. Every drop is pure botanical repair. You only need 2-3 drops to cover your face, meaning one 30ml bottle often lasts longer than a massive tube of diluted lotion.
Will these oils feel sticky in our humid Malaysian weather?
No. We formulated specifically for Southeast Asia using “Dry Oils” (like Squalane and Safflower) with a small molecular structure. They mimic your skin’s natural lipids and absorb instantly without sitting on top. You will feel glowing, not sweaty.
Is the Relief Balm safe for babies?
Yes. It is formulated to be “Edible-Grade Safe.” It contains zero essential oils, zero steroids, and zero petroleum—just pure Oat Oil, Shea Butter, and Calendula. It is safe for diaper rash, nursing mothers, and even if your baby accidentally licks it.

Will using facial oil make my oily/acne-prone skin worse?
No. In fact, you need it. Oily skin is often low in Linoleic Acid, making your sebum sticky and pore-clogging. Our Oily Skin Serum restores this missing fatty acid, signaling your pores to stop overproducing oil. The result is a balanced, matte finish.
I have severe eczema/TSW. Will this cure me?
While we cannot legally claim a “cure,” our products support Barrier Repair. Eczema is a broken barrier that lets moisture out and irritants in. Our Luna Oil and Relief Balm act as a “second skin,” sealing the cracks to stop the itch-scratch cycle so your skin can finally heal itself naturally.

My face feels oily after application. What am I doing wrong?
You likely applied it to dry skin. Our waterless formulas love water! Always apply immediately after cleansing (while face is damp) or after a mist. The water acts as a vehicle to transport the oil deep into your pores.
How do I layer the products?
The Golden Rule is “Thinnest to Thickest.”
- Prep: Dampen skin (Clarity Aura Face Mist)
- Treat: Apply Power Serum (Face) or Luna Repair Body Oil.
- Activate: Use Gua Sha to push oils deep.
Seal: Dab Relief Balm on dry patches/bites.
troubleshooting
I see small white spots after using it. Is it clogging my pores?
This is likely “Skin Purging,” not clogging. Because our serums are bioactive, they speed up cell renewal and push deep congestion to the surface (“taking out the trash”). Don’t stop. Give it 10–14 days, and the spots will clear to reveal smoother skin.
I don't see a dramatic result yet. Is it working?
You are in the “Silent Repair” phase. Unlike steroids that force a visual change but thin the skin, natural repair starts deep underground.
